This post is perfectly timed given the fact that I am literally beating the summer heat by my favorite juices & milk shakes! These beverages are not only healthy but also provide relief to the stomach from several gastro-intestinal problems which commonly occurs during summers as a result of spicy & oily food intake.
With the onset of summers, one may spot various fruit juice shops crowded by people. In my opinion, these beverages are way better than carbonated soda drinks available in the shops which claim to satisfy your thirst. I would not name the brand but a bottle of mineral water costs INR 20 just imagine what would a bottle of aerated drink priced at INR 8 contain in it?? :thinking:
Honestly, I feel at least these beverages are natural in a way. Well, I would not go deep into that and quickly suggest you all some refreshing beverages for this summer month of June so that you can easily cope up with the heat & temperature.
Caffeine lovers find a great substitute of their favorite coffee cup in the form of Cold coffee. Added with the natural aroma of coffee and milk it gives instant relief to the burning food pipe of our system and the chilly ice cubes crushed in this gives a sweet delight to all our senses.
You may spot so many shops offering Lassi in your city. Made from curd, water and ice cubes this is another healthy drink for the summers as yoghurt contains a good proportion of pro-biotics which enhance the immunity in our body and keeps the heat borne diseases away.
Mango Milk Shake
Mango and summers are a deadly combination. We love mangoes but we can’t curse these summers as it brings juicy & fresh mangoes which are ripened by the natural process other than the chemical treated ones.
Mango milk shake is a favorite drink in every household and given the fact that mango is packed with lots of vitamins & minerals that nobody ever refrains from having mangoes!
An equal proportion of mango pulp, milk with ice cubes and a little sugar well blended will give your taste buds ultimate pleasure.

Thandai is the season’s favorite drink and is packed with nutrition of almonds, cashew, saffron and milk. This is served chilled which makes it the most desired drink for the scorching summer season.
A glass of thandai after dinner is something which can only be experienced in the summers as the season allows our body to handle it.
Chilled Banana Shake
Banana is a healthy fruit and is packed with minerals. It is also a great source of obtaining instant energy due to the glucose levels in banana. Banana shake is prepared with its pulp and milk in appropriate proportions with lots of ice cubes in it.
Personally, I prefer banana in its raw form but there are many who love the taste of banana milk shake.

Well, these were only a few suggestions which I like the most. There are definitely many other beverage options which may help one to get relief from the rising temperature.
