The monsoon season is very pleasant throughout the country but the hilly terrains especially, turn mesmerizing due to the nature’s cycle of regenerating new leaves. It would be a better option to visit the hill stations with the onset of monsoons but the major accidents in the hill areas also occur during the monsoon season like heavy rainfall, landslides not forget floods!

In my opinion, advancing monsoon trips should concentrate more on the plain areas as there are less chances of getting stuck on places where natural calamities can take place. Rajasthan

Udaipur in Rajasthan is also popular as Venice of the East due to the number of lakes in the city. There is a Monsoon Palace which is especially famous for its breathtaking view in the Monsoon season.

There is the famous The Taj Lake Palace which is also a heritage monument in the state and has been renovated and turned into a lavish hotel resort. The surrounding lake gives a beautiful view to the onlookers. Over all it is an unmatched landscape to witness this season.

Karnataka

Kodagu or Coorg in Karnataka is termed as the Scotland of India is located at the backdrop of the Western Ghats mountain ranges which has an optimum altitude unlike the Himalayan ranges.

It is known to be one of the happening hill stations in India. The view of the amazing hills and water falls make the view more worthy to be visited in the monsoon season.

Goa

Party never ends here and you may enjoy Goa’s beauty in any season! so be it heavy monsoons of scorching heat you may head to this place without much thought over the place to visit. Nature flourishes in Goa and in the monsoon months a trip to Goa is a must have experience.

Maharashtra

Mumbai in Maharashtra is what instantly comes to my mind when there is a mention of Monsoons. Mumbai has many adjoining beautiful places which are known to be enjoyed in the monsoons like Lonavala, Matheran, Alibaug etc.
